The champion will be back

Roger Federer lost after a 65-match winning streak on grass. In what was the longest single final in Wimbledon’s 131-year history, Rafael Nadal defeated the man no one had beaten at Wimbledon since 2002. Having suffered defeat against Federer at the previous year’s Wimbledon final, it was a deserving win for the 22-year old. But the former Wimbledon champion fought and lost in grand style.
It is Roger’s unpretentiousness, humour, and courteousness that make him a true hero now and for the time to come. At 26, he is nowhere near his peak. The champion will be back.
